SFEDI Awards Regulated Qualifications Framework Consultation Reminder

Recently you will have received our newsletter launching our latest consultation on the introduction of the Regulated Qualifications Framework (https://gallery.mailchimp.com/bc7be8c5ed59a14d25e6cc48f/files/RQF_Postcard_01.pdf) . Within the newsletter we explained the steps that we will be taking over the coming months during the transition period up to 31 December 2017 including:
* The removal of the term QCF from, and the introduction of the terms GL and TQT to, the SFEDI Awards website and literature
* The launch of a consultation with our approved delivery network to support the introduction of both GL and TQT (https://gallery.mailchimp.com/bc7be8c5ed59a14d25e6cc48f/files/tqt_postcard.pdf)
* The release of updated qualification specifications through the SFEDI Awards website with notifications sent to the delivery network on a monthly basis
Thank you to all of those that have already put forward their views to the consultation, these will go a long way in order to support us in analysing any changes that may be required to the current Guided Learning allocated to each of the units within our qualifications.
These responses will also help in the introduction of Total Qualification Time (TQT), a new element of qualifications regulated by Ofqual through the RQF system.
It’s important to make sure that we collect as many views as possible to make sure that our qualifications are truly reflective of the delivery needs of the users of our qualifications.
In completing the consultation you will be asked to provide the Guided Learning (GL) in hours that you typically take to deliver each unit of a qualification. You will only be required to complete information against the units that you typically deliver to meet the overall structure requirements for a qualification.
You will also be asked to provide the number of hours of Total Qualification Time (TQT) that is typically taken to deliver the whole qualification.
This consultation is open to all people who are users of SFEDI Awards qualifications including, but not limited to:
* tutors
* assessors
* IQAs
* training managers
* governors
* learners
* third parties involved in funding provision
* members of the public who are guardians of those who have undertaken, are currently undertaking or are likely to undertake a SFEDI Awards qualification
